Spring drink with pink grapefruit and ginger

A youthful, aromatic, feminine and refreshing spring drink with dill aquavit.

  • 3 cl D Argentum dill aquavit
  • 3-4 cl freshly squeezed pink grapefruit
  • 1 tsp simple sugar syrup*
  • 1 large slice of fresh ginger
  • Grapefruit sliced or in wedges for decoration
  • Sparkling water


  1. Pour the grapefruit juice, aquavit and sugar syrup into a glass and stir.
  2. Add lots of ice and top up with sparkling water.
  3. Garnish with ginger slices and a couple of pieces of grapefruit.

*Simple sugar syrup (essential bar ingredient and can be used in all cocktails where sweetness is needed), is easy to make by mixing 1 cup of water with 1 cup sugar in a pot. Bring it to the boil and let it simmer gently until the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool and pour into a sterilised jam jar.
